About the project





About the project

This project is aimed at raising awareness about childrens’ rights and emotions encouraging readership. School teams from Greece, Spain,Malta, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland … will cooperate and share activities in relation to the aims of the project. Our most important goal is to have fun while reading and establish friendship. We will also practise the english language and skills arousing students’ imagination. 





AIMS

We aim to :
present interdisciplinary instruction in the subjects of English Language, Literature, Sociopolitical Education, (Kids’ Rights, Bullying, Diversity) ,Mathematics, Physical Education ,Emotional Skills and Self-Awareness, Bullying,ICT, Georgraphy, Arts and Music as an alternative teaching approach, based on the principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). 
Communicate, exchange information, collaborate
Use the popularity of the novel among young people to discuss and put into practice values such as loyalty, friendship, hard work, creativity, fairness, trust, tolerance, acceptance.
Use the matters discussed in the novel to review basic children’s rights, see how they can be violated and what should be done when we observe similar situations.
Show respect and tolerance towards other cultures and get to know them.
Foster the use of ICT among the students

WORK PROCESS

English curriculum : all according to the guide given by the Ministry of Education.

Exchange rate with euros...simple maths perhaps Physical Education: Playing quiddichArts : drawings, crafts Partner schools will weekly gather and exchange information by filling in questionnaires,voting, exchanging letters..We will be reading 2 chapters each month complementing each other’s work by using problem solving techniques , but most of all flexibility will be necessary for all of us to work without anxiety and enjoy this project. EXPECTED RESULTS

By the end of this project students will have enjoyed reading Harry Potter, have established friendship bonds with their co students from other countries, will have broadened and enriched knowledge of English, will have been full of experiences, will have solved problems and shared ideas and experience. This project aims at the student being in the centre of teaching learning environment .
